What if I already use a competitor like Fantastico?
Softaculous can take over and manage any software installed by Fantastico, allowing Softaculous to update and backup that software. However, it is important to understand that Fantastico cannot take over software controlled by Softaculous, so you may want to cease use of Fantastico as Softaculous can manage all software.
